"There's no point of going to school tomorrow," I made sure to exclaim to everyone at school all day, "I'm not going. I want to sleep in."
And I kept my promise. The next day, I didn't come to school.
I slept in until ten o'clock, then made myself the most delicious scrambled eggs in the world while watching Saved by the Bell.
When I finished eating, it was down to business. For the next two hours, I studied for finals.
Then my mom came home and decided to take me to Bloomingdales for their delicious chocolate peanut butter frozen yogurt and to shop.
We ended up buying a lot of clothes.
At 1:30, I asked my mom to bring me back to school so that I could go to my last class of the day: global.
I walked into class late and hurriedly sat in the desk next to the class clown, Eric. He smirked at my tardiness, but soon enough class resumed.
Just as my teacher was mid-sentance, describing kulaks and whatnot, my Biology teacher entered.
"Hi Ms. H," my Global teacher, Mrs. C, said (don't want to put last names on here..)
Ms. H nodded and said, "I'm very sorry to interrupt but this is important."
Mrs. C smiled, "That's okay, Ms. H, it's always great to see your smiling face."
"It's not smiling," Ms. H said seriously, "this is a serious matter. I brought a heart and safety scissors. I would bring a scalpel, but I'm afraid to cut myself."
Mrs. C's eyes widened, "What happened?!"
Ms. H pointed at me, "Miryam here decided not to show up to Bio today."
I felt my cheeks turn pink and I giggled, "I-I..."
"Please come here," she motioned towards me.
I looked over at Mrs. C to make sure it was okay. With her approving nod, I stood up and followed Ms. H outside.
"Now get on your knees," she demanded.
I did as I was told. My knees were instantly cold from the floor.
"Wave at my AP Psych class."
Sure enough, a room full of seniors were waving at me and laughing.
"Now go back inside. Can you please pretend to cry? I need to keep up my reputation of being a tough teacher."
I smirked and gave her a hug, then returned back to class, looking at the floor.
Instantly, I was bombarded with curious questions, "What happened out there?!" "Are you okay?"
I picked up my face, a tear slowly made its way down my cheek.
"Never mess with Ms. H."
