They whispered about her. They pointed. They thought she was oblivious. She tried to ignore them.
She ran a hand through her straight blonde hair. She slid her sunglasses on and walked across the campus, not looking a single boy in the eye. She strode across the football field to the shed, where all of the scoreboards and spray paint was kept.
She thrust open the door without knocking and saw Michael, wrapped around Hadley, making out in the privacy of the shed.
At the sound of the door opening, Hadley gasped and pulled back slightly. "What?" He murmured, turning slightly, his face turning into a mask of sheer horror seeing his girlfriend catching him red-handed. That bastard.
"Quinn—" He started but she cut him off. "Shut up." She pulled the purity ring off of her finger and threw it on the ground.
A look of hurt flashed across his face. Hadley shrunk back into the shadows. "I'm done with you." She stated firmly.
"Quinn, please." He pleaded. Quinn ignored him, now turning to Hadley. "Oh, and Haddles?" She said, repeating the nickname that Quinn knew Michael called her. "Hope this was worth the consequences." She said, glaring at Hadley.
Quinn turned around, slamming the door behind her. "Hey Quinn! What are you doing here?" Calvin, Michael's wing-man called out. Quinn walked up to him, grabbed the back of his neck, and kissed him. Deeply.
"What was that?" He spluttered after he pulled back.
She glared into his big, brown eyes. "Payback."
She turned on her flats and walked across the campus, finding Michael's other good friend, Andrew. "Hey Quinn." He acknowledged her with a flick of his wrist. Quinn walked up to him and repeated what she did with Calvin.
"Quinn, Michael will kill me!" Andrew pushed her off.
"Why? I didn't kill Hadley." Quinn glared at him and he winced.
Again, she turned away and found Michael's brother, Seth. She walked up to him, who was a year older than her, and repeated the same thing.
"What was that?" He asked, repeating Calvin.
But he hadn't pulled away from her like Calvin did. He was still close to her, and he rested his hands on her hips.
"Revenge." She said, but found that she couldn't glare at him.
"Oh." His face seemed to deflate. But his hands were still there.
And he figured that he wouldn't have this chance again, and he kissed her. Deeper than Michael had ever kissed her. And maybe it was because he was so like the Old Michael. Maybe because for the first time in a month, she felt loved. Or maybe, it was because she had subconciously known. But she hugged Seth tight, and burried her head in his chest.
"Finally." He sighed into her hair.
And without thinking twice about it, she pulled him tighter to her body and cried. He rubbed her back, in the middle of the quad, where the entire all boys school tromped passed them on their way to start summer. But both Seth and Quinn were starting something new, entirely together.
