Beautiful Disaster
She rode with the woven picnic basket balancing on the back of her bike. Pink petals fluttered from the gorgeous cherry trees. The trail was covered in a pink blanket of the petals. The soft breeze tousled her silky blonde curls as the sunshines rays reflected illuminous light from the tresses.
He led her over a white cobblestoned bridge, which overlooked a glimmering stream. Water trickled through the pebbles and stones. Cattails banked the sides as minnows darted in and out. A bluejay swooped down in front of him causing a sudden swerve. The front tire got caught on a loose stone and like a beautiful disaster he flew headfirst over the bridge landing into the rushing water.
A screech followed as she threw her bike down sending freshly picked strawberries, pepperjack cheese, toasted crackers, fuzzy peaches, cold chiken salad, buttery croisssants, and a piece of creamy, rich chocolate cake sprawling across the bridge and a few clementines rolling into the water.
She flung herself into the water trying to grasp his hand. Tears streamed down her face as she waded deeper in the water attempting to rescue her prince. He drifted further and further down the stream his body slowly descending into the rapid current. Streaks of blood colored water soon reached her view. The rocks were getting slippier as she kept trying to chase after him, then all of a sudden she couldn't move. Her foot was trapped between a rock a hard place and there was no hope it coming loose soon. The water was enveloping her body as she wept. The tide was getting high and she didn't know how much longer she could hold on. Finally with a final tear falling from her almond shaped eye, she let go and let let the water take control of her.
A glistening stream ran underneath a bridge covered with picnic reminants and two bikes forever mangled upon the earth.
