If you really knew the girl you call Selina...
You would know that she was born in the afternoon of the year 1994.
You would discover she is 170 cm, a proud Chinese-Canadian.
You would know that she is both fob and white-washed; a rather interesting combination.
Her music ranges from K-Pop, to Lady Gaga, to Glee Soundtracks, to Beethoven.
Speaking of Beethoven...
You would understand she has a love for music and a passion for the piano.
You would know that she has many dreams.
One of which includes going to Julliard.
Another includes going to McGill.
Yet another includes going to Stanford.
One includes becoming a writer.
Another is becoming a dentist.
And the one that might put them all into place?
Getting an International Baccalaureate Dipolma.
You would know that she is afraid for grade eleven and twelve.
Afraid of failing, not getting the average she wants...
Ironically afraid of knowledge; ultimately.
You would realize that Selina knows now that sleep is a prevlidge...
You would know first hand that Selina has permanent black circles under her eyes.
But you would know that she sports them with pride, because they're proof of her hard work.
You would know that Selina's best friend is Starbucks.
And you would know that all of Selina's friends are all "racoons" as well.
You would know that she is constantly comparing her grades to her friends...
Which often makes her feel inadequate, as her friends are all brainiacs.
But you should know that overall, Selina is proud of her acheivements, school wise for grade ten.
And most of all, you would know that Selina swears by the following: MLIIB.
Going back to Beethoven... (Did you know he grew deaf in his later years? He composed some of his most famous sonatas completely deaf. Pretty impressive...)
You would know that Selina has been playing piano since she was four.
You would know that she holds two piano dipolmas, both of which she attained before she turned fifteen.
You would know that she has won first in many competitions; has received scholarships, but still has room to improve.
You would know that she first learned from her own aunt.
And then when her aunt got married, she started taking lessons from former and present concert pianists.
Her favourite composers include Beethoven, Chopin and Lizst.
But you would laugh at the fact that she hates J.S. Bach with a passion.
Except for his Italian Concerto, which she played.
You would know that she is currently working on the over-played Chopin Concerto in E Minor.
And although she has two official-looking pieces of paper, you would know that she put blood, sweat and tears into both dipolmas.
She was put through constant pressure, was pushed to the edge and challenged musically.
But you would know that she would go through all of it again, without hesitation.
Because it taught her preserverence, determination and hope.
And she became a true pianist because of it all.
But you should know that she has no intentions of continuing in the music department.
Although she is currently teaching piano, she cannot see herself as a piano teacher in the future.
However, if one does not choose to teach, performing as a concert artist is also another way to go.
But being discovered is next to impossible.
And even when you are discovered, your pay is minimal.
There can only be one Lang Lang and one Yundi Lee in this world.
And when you get your paycheck, money needs to go into your hotel fees, airplane ticket, concert hall rental, and of course, your manager takes their neat 10% cut as well...
Therefore, life as a concert pianist is hard. (As Selina formerly discussed with Claire.)
And you should also know that Selina absolutely adores fashion and shopping.
Her taste ranges from H&M and Forever 21 to Juicy Couture and Marc Jacobs.
She. Is. Obessed. With. All. Things. Juicy. Couture.
Unfortunately, the founders of the wonderful brand Juicy Couture are women.
If they were men, Selina would probably marry them both...
You should know that Selina aspires to become someone who can go into Louis Vuitton; and buy a bag, just because she can.
You should also know that she wants to make her parents proud.
Selina prays she does not turn out to be a disappointment.
She wants to be reconized in her huge, extended family.
A family which is filled with successful lawyers, doctors and buisness people.
She wants to be reconized in her family as not "So and So's Daughter", but as "Selina"
She wants independancy from all of it.
And wants to prove herself.
You should know that Selina cannot draw to save her life.
You should also know that Selina will probably die drowning.
Selina was also a former figure skater and basketball player.
But currently, she is a tennis player and jogger.
She finds jogging to be a good way to maintain her fitness level, and gives her time to think about things.
Selina also hopes to marry someday, and wear a princess-y wedding gown.
You would know that Selina has never fallen in love.
You would know that she has gotten her heart broken three times.
And ironically, for every situation, the timing was off.
You would know that Selina has ridiculously high standards.
Standards at which her guy friend told her to "face reality", "only pick two from her list of eleven traits" so she would be "set for life."
You would know that some guys are intimidated by her.
But some guys have proven to be great friends to her.
But lately as sad as this sounds, she has been dating Physics.

I am amazed at your piano skills too! (all I can play is mary had a little lamb... barely!) anyways i know we don't talk that much but I just wanted to say you sound like an amazing girl and I know you will go far in life!
