"The first day of Chamber Chorus is now at attention!" Mrs. Kast screeched. Everyone scurried to their seat on the risers/bleachers. Colbs Jayson fixed his baseball hat and smirked at her, Marie Halter fingered through her long golden hair, and Natlia Lastson placed her glasses straight on her face and started to talk to Haley Berg. But amid all of this, I was singing a song. Quietly, but still singing. “Hello, you. Hello, everybody…” I closed her eyes and thought of the music I was singing. Nobody thought of music like me, except for my bestest friend in the whole world, practically my sister, Marie. Marie taught me that way of thinking of music, to picture the notes in your head and feel the harmony throughout your whole body. “Cat!” Marie whispered, and smiled, into my ear. “Whaaat?” I was woken from my music making. "I need to talk to you." "After class?" "Fine." Marie looked relieved.
"Okay, so I know you want to know which boy and which girl got the solo, right?" Mrs. Kach asked. "Sure." Everyone replied. "Colbs and Cat!!!!!!"
I gasped, her and Colbs? They were too really strong singers and, well, didn't that like cancel out or something? Colbs looked at me, they sat right next to eachother on the second row in the Soprano 1 section and smiled. "Guess that means you'll have to sing louder," Colby gave me his smile. I blushed like a tomato. An overly ripe tomato that has extra red in it. "And you'll have to get a bit taller," I replied witfully since we were the same height. Now he got red from anger or something. Colbs was overly cocky, but with his light brown hair and Kurt from Glee attitude, he had a right to it. I settled down and waited for the bell to be over so I could run to 5th period, the one where I would see Jonathan.
