Kat Cross has always been special, but in a different way then people with a perfect GPA or silky hair.

Kat is a witch.
Ever since she was 5, Kat has been able to light candles by herself, make warpholes, or duplicate her father,
who is the "head" of all of the magicsl creatures like fae, vamps, witches and warlocks, and weres. Now, since
she had made a little mistake, she is being sent to Decanter Academy for the Talented. Really, its like a boarding
school for the messed up magical creatures. And now, Kat has to be one of them.

This is based on Hex Hall by someone I don't remember but I don't own it!!! :}

prologue

I had a smug smile on my face; my friends had excited looks, of course they were excited to see what was going to happen. I pulled my mahogany-colored hair back into a low ponytail and raised my slim porcelain white fingers. I felt the wave of electricity flowing in my body; it was like you were getting charged like a cell phone. I saw blue flashes of light come from the tips of my fingers and prepared for the aftermath that I would have to face; usually it was being completely drained of energy or having to eat a five-course dinner right afterwards. The magic was happening. I loved being a witch, ever since I was 5 I could make things move or get a rabbit out of my own wormhole. Most people didn’t get their powers until 11 or 12, but I was a child prodigy, with my father being the “head” of all magical being like fae, vamps, witches and warlocks, and weres. I had a “head start” everyone says, but I know the truth.
“Get ready to rumble,” I whispered so the girls wouldn’t think I was like Hairy Pooper. The blue light bounced into the sky, then back and it then exploded. In the midst of it all, four impossibly perfect boys appeared.
“OMG!” The girls all screeched and started to pick the boys they wanted, but then, just like I wanted it to, the boy with blonde shaggy hair started to drool all over the leader of the girls, Brittney I think. They all started to scream. When the principle got there, they all pointed at me.

chapter one

I numbly packed a yellow lace bedspread into my suitcase, making sure none of my salty tears touched the delicate fabric, my step-monster would surely freak if I got my own sheets wet. Never mind that, she didn’t even know what I am or where I was going. She thought I was a normal human girl that was being shipped off to an elite boarding school because my grades were super-duper. I looked down at a list of items I’d made.

-bedspread
-pillow cases
-sheets
-yellow/white lamp
-60 books(separately shipped)
-Mac Book 3600
-school supplies(if needed)
-dad’s spell book
-Decanter Academy uniform

I sighed at the list; I wish I had more. At least the rooms at Decanter were huge (with gigantic walk-in closets!) and you only had to share them with 2 other people. And you didn’t have to study math, science, history, and language. At Decanter you studied Dark Magic, Light Magic, History of the Fae, Vampires: Truths of the Gods of the Night, and P.E., but not ordinary P.E., no you got to do archery, hamitch, and gremlin rescue. I still had to wipe away fat tears though. I pushed my caramel waves away from my face and blinked my clear blue-green eyes several times, then checked the clock.
“Honey,” Mellisa, my dad’s 2nd wife called. “Come down, we’re going to the airport now.”
I looked around at the pale yellow room I had kissed boys in, had BFFs over, and discovered my powers in. I walked out of the room and shut that door to my previous life that I was sure I would never return to.
