Preface:

Becca Andrews walked through the door of the fifth grade classroom.
Being the new student wasn't a good thing, she didn't know a single
face in the room. She felt so alone, so unwanted, so scared.
She just stood there in the doorway, to fearful to move.
"You must be Becca! Hi, Im Mrs. Lovely! Welcome to Steel Elementary!"
Said the teacher, all pudgy and smiley.
"Well come, come dear!" She grabbed Beccas' hand and draged her to the
center of the class.
"Students! We have a new comer! Her name is Becca Andrews, welcome her"
Mrs. Lovely announced, all eyes were on her, she wanted to go back in
time to five minutes ago when she was invisible.
She quickly walked to an empty seat, not wanting people to come up to
her.
"Hello Becca, Im Bentley" Beccas' head popped up to see a boy smiling
down at her, his face so welcoming and friendly.
Her heart fluttered, she was in love at ten years old.
He had her at 'Hello'

Chapter Seven

The playground looked desterted, not a little child in sight.
Becca liked this, because it meant there was no distractions, which meant all of Bentley's attention would be on her.
"Race you to the swings!!" Bentely yelled already taking off running.
"Cheater, cheater pumpkin eater!!!" Becca yelled after him and ran off following him.
They laughed when they reached the swings, Becca felt like a little kid whenever she was around him.
He just made everything so much brighter, more fun.
"So what are we gonna do saturday?" Becca asked, lightly swinging.
The two would always do something they had never done before every saturday night, it was just another one of their things.
"Well actually I've been meaning to talk to you about that Becs" Bentley said looking down at his feet, he slowly stopped swinging.
Becca followed at stopped too;
"What do you mean? You don't have other plans do you?" Becca let out a little forced laugh after the last part. She bet he had other plans, she worried that this day might come when he got bored of just hanging out with Becca and wanted to hang out with a girl more pretty or fun.
"Well see, I kinda have a date...." Bentely said in a slight mummble, still avoiding her eyes.
She did her best to hold back her tears, not letting one fall. She didn't want it to be so obvious that he had just broken her heart.
